Jalandhar 6 November (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar has a glorious past of ‘Patriotic Institution has glorious past of ‘Patriotic fervour’ translated in practical steps that aid and abet the growth and prosperity of India. It was time for celebrating at KMV when as directed by the Govt. of India KMV to salute and commemorated the memory of our National Hero and icon Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, the unifier of India. To acknowledge this contribution and remember if for the times to come, more than 250 students from all streams participated invarious activities like ‘Unity run’ in the college campus, elocution on Relevance and Importance of Sardar Patel in Today’s India and Slogan making contest on the theme of National Integration and Unity. The students also took on oath of commitment to preserving the unity and integrity of the nation. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi in her message on the occasion exhorted one all especially the students to imbibe values and ideals of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel and emulate him as a role model. She also asked all to remember the unique contribute of Sardar Patel for unification of Indian during the formation of the unified Republic of India which needs to be saluted and commemorated for all times to come. The week long celebrations were organized by Mrs. Seema Jain, Dean Academics & Head PG Dept. of English alongwith the direction of the Gandhian Studies Centre Dr. Monica Sharma. Dr. Kamaljit & Dr. Gurjot also attended the march alongwith a large no. of faculty members.
