Chandigarh 22 July (Gurkirat Singh)- Moving forward in its pursuit towards Digitizing India whileem powering our education system, Easy website in a box in collaboration with ICSI (International Chamber for Service Industry, New Delhi) organized an Innovative workshop on “Digital India–Highway for Transforming Education” at James Hotel Chandigarh. The resource persons of the workshop were Mr. Gurmail Dhaliwal (Vice-president, Hounslow Chamber of commerce, UK & Director, IndieCo Digital UK), Mr. Nick Thompson (Director, IndieCo Marketing Australia) and Dr. Gulsham Sharma (Director General ICSI). The workshop focused on use of ICT in Education and Digital marketing. “Digital India is the backbone of digital learning for the youth of India.ICT has changed the way we work. Online learning is not only helping students strengthen their knowledge-base but is also bringing deprived students within the fold of higher education to provide formal education”, said GurmailDhiman. The workshop hosted technical session on the role of digital technology and innovation in education, integrated online education, enhancing the role of a teacher as counsellor/facilitator/motivator/mentor, future trends in Higher Education in overseas educational institutions, and social media. Principals, Counsellors, Educators, Service Industry entrepreneurs and Intrapreneurs of Tricity participated in the workshop. On this occasion, 10 eminent people from Airlines, Tourism, Hospitality and Media Entertainment industry were honored for their outstanding contribution towards the industry in Tricity.
