Jalandhar 2 November (Jaswinder Azad)- At Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Heritage Institution, Jalandhar believes in giving practical exposure to equip and enable young girls to deal with practical affairs of day to day life. In sync with the aim the PG Department of Commerce & Business Administration at KMV organized a purely interactive workshop on the topic “Banking Operations”. The workshops witnessed an enthusiastic response with the college auditorium full of students.
The main speaker for the day was Ms. Tanvir Kaur, who highlighted the importance of the knowledge of some common banking terms. She also elaborated at length the various concepts related to normal banking operations like KYC norms, Mobile Banking, Internet Banking, Fund Transfer, FD/RD, NEFT/ RTGS, and clearing process. The second resource person for the day was Ms. Deeksha who acquainted the students with the various vouchers, documents and forms required for banking in daily basis. She talked about forms like GH 60 & 61, multipurpose form, deposit form and withdrawl form. The students gained a host of practical information from the lucid talk of both the resource persons. Towards the culmination Dr. Neeraj Maini, Head, PG Department of Commerce thanked both the resource persons for having spared time from their busy schedule for showing valuable information with the students. Principal prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the faculty of the PG Department of Commerce for having organized a highly useful interactive session for the students.
