Christmas celebrations at CT Group of Institutions

  • International students celebrated the grand event at Curo High Street.

Jalandhar 25 December (Jaswinder Azad)- The International students of CT Group of Institutions celebrated fun filled Christmas at Curo High Street on Saturday. The High Commissioner of Malawi Dr. Mbuya Isaac Munlo was present at the event. He enjoyed the performances of international students. They rhyme Christmas Carols that initiated their celebrations and led to the Dance and Song performances by them. High Commissioner of Malawi Dr. Mbuya Isaac Munlo appreciated the performances of the students in narrating the birth story of Jesus. He also motivated them to organize such events to celebrate such festivals to encourage festive spirit among everyone across nations.
Besides, CT Group of Institutions celebrated Christmas with fun and fervour at both of its Maqsudan and Shahpur Campuses. Both the campuses wore a festive look. It was festooned with colourful streamers and balloons and a brightly decorated Christmas tree. The celebrations began with a cake cutting ceremony. This was followed by singing of Christmas carols by the staff and faculty members during the celebrations. Students were in a festive mood and danced to the numbers like "We wish you a Merry Christmas" and “Jingle Bells”.
Non-Teaching staff took the initiative to make a surprise visit of 'Santa Claus' at the event. Santa Claus enjoyed the festive spirit, took photographs with them, distributed candies and gifts to all.  At Maqsudan campus, the festival was celebrated by the CT Kindergarten students. The programme was followed by a dance and Christmas carols. Students said that Christmas festival truly depicts the essence of love, joy and peace.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) congratulated the students and the staff on the occasion and said that Jesus preached love and sacrifice and his teachings should always be remembered.
