Industrial Meet at KMV

Jalandhar 5 December (Jaswinder Azad)- Paving and discovering newer, routes and brighter horizons for women empowerment and consequently a better society is a daily consistent effort at KMV—The Heritage Institution.  KMV is the only institution in Guru Nanak Dev University to  be awarded the Kaushal Kendra granted by UGC under the Skill Development Scheme of the Ministry of Human Resource Development.  To refine and redefine the syllabus of various B.Voc courses an industrial meet was organized by the KMV Kaushal Kendra on the campus itself. It is worth mentioning that KMV got various B.Voc courses likePhotography and Journalism, Animation, Retail Management, Management and Secretarial Practices, Textile Design & Apparel Technology and Nutrition, Exercise & Health.  The thrust of the meet was to get some important recommendation for making the syllabus fit to market needs.  Representatives from the world of business who joined the meet were as follows.  Mr. Gurkirpal Singh, Managing Director, F9 (Event Management), Mr. Mandeep Singh (Branch Manager), Pantaloons, Mr. VarunNayar (CMO), Itronix Solutions, Mr. Karan Arora (CEO), Itronix Solutions, Mr. Inderpreet Singh (Owner) One Stop Shop, Mrs. NeetiSoni, Knowledge Icon, Mr. NitinKapoor, Prime Asia Ms. Devya Thakur, Vision Beyond, Mr. Prabhjot Singh (Manager) Shopper Stop.  It is noteworthy that Ms. Rajbir (Media Officer). NRI Sabha Punjab also attended the meet.  From the world of Journalism Mr. Raman Meer DE DainikBhaskar, Mr. Robin Jindal (Cluster Head) Radio Mantra, Mr. Rajiv Bhaskar(Editor)Punjab Tribune.com, Mr. SarabjitPandher(Editor-in-Chief), Daily Post, Mr. PuneetPareenja(State Bureau), Ms. RamandeepKaur, Director Shahmsheer Communication, Zee News Mr. VikasSachdeva, (News Editor), AjitSamachar, Mr. NareshArora, (Head Digital Edition) Digital Edition, Mr. Amninder Singh Dhillo, Head (CG) HindSamachar Group were the prominent luminaries present.  Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the Kaushal Kendra for having organized such a fruitful venture.  She said that such events were sure to create harmony between the needs of the market and the type of training being provided by the Kaushal Kendra.  This would certainly go a long way in helping students develop skills in the right direction and being satisfactorily employed.
