NSS camp of HMV disseminated knowledge regarding skills development courses

Jalandhar 23 December (Jaswinder Azad)- The NSS unit of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organizes seven days special camp in the adopted village Gakhal under the dynamic leadership of Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen.  The main objective of NSS is to enable the students to upgrade their personality and experience through community service.  On the sixth day of this camp, the faculty members of Fine Arts, Fashion Designing and Home Science imparted knowledge among the students regarding skill oriented courses and their scope in future.  Prof. Kavita and Prof. Gautam, the faculty members of Fine Arts have given knowledge to the students about the artistic development in one’s personality.  They also inspired the students to make decorative things from the waste products.  Prof. Shallu Dua of Home Science Department and Prof. Tanisha of Fashion Designing department have provided complete knowledge to the students regarding these subjects and their career prospective.
During the camp, the volunteers undertook the cleanliness task.  They cleaned the school stage and its surroundings.  The garbage and piles of concrete were cleared. In the evening session, in order to bring awareness regarding AIDS, a poster making competition was held.  The programme officers of NSS Prof. Veena Arora and Prof. Kuljeet Kaur praised and encouraged the students for their brilliant efforts.
