Daughter Jai Inder Kaur leads door-to-door campaign in Patiala
Patiala, January 23 (Jaswinder Azad)- Patiala MLA and Punjab Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh’s wife Perneet Kaur and daughter Jai Inder Kaur on Monday took his electioneering in the constituency to a new pitch, asserting that he and the party would keep their promises to the people come what may. Perneet Kaur, while visiting Ward Number 41, assured that all the promises made by the party will be kept and no effort would be spared to bring back the lost smiles of the people. She reiterated Captain Amarinder’s promise of jobs for the unemployed youth and revival of the industries in the state. The industrial sector, she said, would be strengthened to generate revenue and provide employment. BC Cell’s chairman Rajesh Mandera organized a meeting in Ward number 41, which got enthusiastic response from the local residents. While speaking to the gathering, Perneet reminded the people of the sacrifices made by the Congress for the development of the state and the country. The party will continue to do the same for generations to come, she asserted.
Lambasting the SAD-BJP combine government for ignoring the state and its need to fill their own pockets, Perneet said the damage done to the state by the Badal father-son duo can only be undone under the able leadership of Captain Amarinder Singh.
Jai Inder Kaur carried out a door-to-door campaign in Peeli Sadak area, from Ragho Majra to Karah Waala Chowk, Sabzi Mandi, Kotwali Chowk, Bartan Bazaar and Gur Mandi area. Showered with love and flowers by the people, she spoke about her father’s political acumen and commitment to the people of Punjab, especially his home town of Patiala. Several other Patiala Congress leaders also went campaigning door to door to promote the party campaign in the constituency. Among them were Patiala Congress (Urban) general secretary Shavinder Singh Chaddha, along with Manu Buttar Balwan Group and Harsimran Sandhu.
