Personnel on Election Duty to get free Medical facility

Jalandhar 19 January (Jaswinder Azad)- Officers and Employees performing election duty for the ensuing Punjab Assembly Elections-2017 will get medical facility free of cost.  District Administration and Punjab Institutes of Medical Sciences (PIMS) today signed an MOU to ensure this free medical facility for Personnel put on Election Duty. District Election Officer Mr. Kamal Kishor Yadav while signing this MOU with Resident Director PIMS Dr. Kamaljit Singh, revealed that as per the MOU more than 13 thousand personnel including Officers, Employees of civil and Police department and Central Security Forces performing election duty would get free medical facility in case of any health problem between February 2 to till the end of polling process. Resident Director PIMS Dr. Kamaljit Singh said that teams comprising of  expert Doctors and assisting staff would put on 24hour  job to deal with any kind of health problem to the employees on election duty. Besides this Ambulances would also be put on hold to provide in time medical treatment in case of any emergency. On the Occasion Commissioner of Police Mr. Arpit Shukla, ADC Mr. Girish Diyalan and SSP (Jalandhar Rural) Mr. S.S.Mann were also present.
