KMV organizes Annual Fete ‘KMV Carnival ’17’

Jalandhar 16 February (Gurkirat Singh)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya The Heritage Institution, Jalandhar organized its Annual Fete ‘KMV Carnival ’17’ to provide a welcome break from the academic routine. The Chief Guests on this occasion Sh. Chander Mohanji, President, Arya Shiksha Mandal and Mrs. Neerja Chander Mohan, Member, KMV Managing Committee were accorded floral felicitations by the college Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi.  The college wore a colourful and festive look on this day. As many as 40 stalls were donned up with mouth-watering delicacies, hand-made articles by Department of Fashion Designing, Department of Fine Arts, Games, DJ etc. to add to over-all ambience of the day. The College students enjoyed to their hearts fill while dancing to the numbers sung by a band of popular Punjabi singers comprising Ms. Rupali, Mr. Jaggi Jallowal, Ms. Preet Boparai, Mr. Sai Sultan, Mr. Manna Dhillon.  A small enactment on ‘Women Empowerment’ was also performed by the students of women studies centre. The students responded enthusiastically to the call for competitions in social-media awards category like Best Selfie, maximum selfies at #KMV Carnival. The gala event concluded with a lucky draw. To give away the prizes to the lucky winners, the honourable members of KMV Managing Committee namely Dr. Satpal Gupta, Dr. Suresh Seth, were also present on this occasion. The college Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi assured to contribute the proceeds of this event to poor students fund. Congratulating the organizing team of the ‘KMV Carnival ’17, she maintained that such events not only refresh and rejuvenate students but also leave memorable imprints to cherish life long.
