Jalandhar 8 February (Jaswinder Azad)- A brief program named ‘Shamata Mahautsav 2017’ emphasising the need to properly utilise the natural resources was organized by Lyallpur Khalsa College in collaboration with the Petroleum Conservation Association. All the distributers of the Jalandhar Indane Gas service and over 1000 students actively participated in the program. President of the college Governing council Sardarni Balbir Kaur welcomed the guests and informed the students about the conservation process of Natural Gases, oils and petroleum resources and their impact on human life. Jasmer Singh, Deputy Manager, Indian Oil also shared his views with students on the same topic and initiated and oath taking ceremony with students for the conservation of natural resources while the same message was conveyed by the union of guests, staff members and students with the help of an awareness foot march. College Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra applauded the efforts being made by the Petroleum Conservation Research Association for the preservation of natural resources. Smt. Harsimrat Kaur, President of All India Distributor Federation along with other members of Indane Distribution were also present on this occasion.
