Jalandhar 28 March (Jaswinder Azad)- Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar celebrated World Theatre Day by organizing a Skit in its Open Air Theatre. The students spread a message to choose their career based on their interests. Most of the parents want their children to become doctor or engineer but the children should be given ample opportunities to settle their careers by following their interests.
Principal Dr. Sucharita lauded the efforts of Department of Theatre and said if all the youngsters would have followed the careers in engineering or doctorship then how could the world get the brilliant artists like Shakespeare, Vijay Tendulkar, Mohan Rakesh and Balwant Gargi etc. She further extended her views that theatre is an effective medium to give voice to the problems of a common man and events like this provide platforms to the aspiring artists to showcase their skills.
