CID employee and school teacher arrested with opium and heroin

Jalandhar 25 March (Jaswinder Azad)- In a major success to break the chain of drug suppliers, Jalandhar Rural police has arrested an employee of CID wing alongwith school teacher today.
Today addressing the media persons here , SSP Jalandhar Rural Mr. Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that under the ongoing campaign against the eradication of  drugs,  a team  of Punjab Police under the Inspector Harjinder Singh has established naka at village Mankaria under Bhogpur Police station, where both were arrested from a swift car no  PB08-DF-7456.
He said that Pawitar Singh has been serving in the CID wing of Punjab Police at Jalandhar and presently posted as assistant Munshi at CID     headquarter Jalandhar. The other person named Amanpreet Singh is serving as a teacher in DIPS school at Urban Estate Jalandhar.
Mr. Bhullar has also said that 2 KG opium and 20 GM heroin was seized from their car and a case has been registered with section 18-21,61,85 under NDPS act at Police station Bhogpur. 
He also said that from last few days, Jalandhar Rural Police have arrested 33 persons under NDPS act with more than 8 KG opium and other drugs. He also appealed the people to come forward to file the complaints against drug peddlers on the helpline no issued by the police to assist the administration to wipe out the drugs.
