65 delegates from 25 countries will participate in Global Congress
Jalandhar 5 March (Jaswinder Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized an evening of Cultural Extravaganza “Rendezvous” for the Delegates, Dignitaries and Guests of “Global Congress on Sustainable Development: Challenges and Perspectives”. The Chief Guest of the occasion was Dr. R.R. Singh. 65 delegates from 26 countries of the world have come to participate in Global Congress. These delegates are from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Botswana, OR Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Ghana, Myanmar, Mali, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Peru, Philippine, Russia, Sri Lanka, South Sudan, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uzbekistan, Vietnam and Zambia. On this occasion, Secretary DAVCMC Sh. Arvind Ghai, Editor Uttam Hindu Sh. Irwin Khanna, Sh. S.N. Mayor, Sh. K.L. Aggarwal, Sh. Ashok Paruthi, Dr. Sushma Chawla were also present.
The cultural evening started with DAV Gaan. Saraswati Vandana was performed by the students. The students performed Folk Orchestra which was highly appreciated by the delegates. Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen extended a very warm welcome to the delegates. She said that “Namaste” is the most powerful word recognizing India. We should thank the almighty for blessing us. Chief Guest Dr. R.R. Singh was honored by Principal Madam and Members of Local Committee.
The students of the college performed Bhangra, Rajasthani Dance, Giddha, Mimicry and Qawalli. The delegates were mesmerized with the performance of the students. The performance of Giddha enthralled them and they also joined the students.
On this occasion, Programme Coordinator Prof. Ramnita Saini Sharda, Dean Academics Prof. Meenakshi Syal, Dean Youth Welfare Prof. Navroop, Faculty members and members of non-teaching staff were also present.
