Jalandhar 22 March (Jaswinder Azad)- Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra Principal, Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar and President of the Principals’ Association Non-Govt. Affiliated Colleges has welcomed and thanked Guru Nanak Dev Univeristy’s decision to regularize the services of its employees working on temporary, daily basis and out sourcing basis. He also congratulated the concerned employees on the same. Dr. GS Samra also extended his heartiest congratulations to the newly appointed Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh and hoped the new regime under him would soon take care of the other temporary posts in the Colleges an adhere to needs of people working on such basis. Recruitment for regular posts in unaided colleges that has been stuck for the last 13 years was also anticipated to be coming soon as mentioned in the election manifesto as it is one of the most important factors to ensure quality education system for the welfare of society as well. Dr. GS Samra also congratulated Smt. Aruna Chaudhary, Higher Education Minister, Govt. of Punjab and expressed the need to make all the adhoc employees on regular posts soon as a prolonged delay in this matter has already lead to a huge loss in the education levels and social and moral levels as well which underlines the need of a motivated staff in colleges which can be possible with the regularization of their services.
