KMV English Literary Society organizes Creative Writing Competition

Jalandhar 28 March (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-the Heritage Institution, Jalandhar encourages innovation and values creativity as one of the most precious quality in an output to help students discover their creative potential the English Literary Society organized Creative Writing Competitions as a regular features under the aegis of the PG Department of English and the patronage of Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi.  In the recently organized competition , student volunteers from all faculties enthusiastically came to participate.  Specially invited were the students of MA English , B.A. Hons. School of English and Elective English.  The topics for story writing were:  Childhood, Inner Voice, What man has made of Man, Guest House etc.  For composing poems the topic were: Happiness, Love, Countryside, Mother etc..   These topics were mere suggestions rather than limitations so that the light of creativity of the writer would be able to reach its destined culmination.  The large participation of the students was heartening and more heartening was the sagacious advice from the patron Principal Prof.Atima Sharma Dwivedi who while addressing the students suggested that previous experience should that some of the entries in the competitions were to good that they could be compiled in the form of a magazine/ book.  The advice was seconded by Head PG Dept. of English Mrs. Seema Jain who promised to give the suggestion a concrete form.  The students enjoyed the experience and welcomed the platform which gave them unconditional freedom of express their views and thoughts.
