Jalandhar 25 March (Jaswinder Azad)- At Apeejay College of Fine Art, Jalandhar, the department of Physical Education and Student Welfare Association collaboratively organized an Inter-Department Sports Competition in the College playground on Saturday. The students exhibited a lot of enthusiasm and vibrance by taking part in various events like Tug of War, Three Legged Race, Lemon Race, Bucket and Balls, Circle Around the Wicket and Musical Chair. The faculty and students gathered in large numbers constantly applauded the participants. A riot of hues and virbance surrounded the college campus. Not only th students, but the staff members also participated in Lemon Race and Musical Chair.Principal Dr. Sucharita, lauded the efforts of the students and said that the real aim of education is the holistic development of an individual’s personality and sports plays a vital role in inculcating qualities like Tolerance, Co-operation, Sportsman spirit and camaraderie among students. The event concluded with the Prize Distribution Ceremony where the prize winners were awarded certificates and medals. She also applauded the efforts of Mr. Vishav Bandhu Verma, Head Department of History and Mr. Satinder Kumar, Assitnat Prof. in Physical Education for successfully conducting the event.
