Jalandhar 9 April (Gurkirat Singh)- At Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar , Kunwar Raj Singh, a student of Multimedia department brought laurels to the institution by participating at the prestigious Creative Eye Festival ‘Navata-2017’ held at National Level and winning the ‘Best Cinematographer Award’. This competition was organized at GNDU Regional Campus, Ladewali in which around 20 students from different colleges participated and Kunwar won the best cinematographer award for his short film entitled ‘The vicious circle’. This film very poignantly portrays the issue of drug menace in Punjab and its impact on youth. Besides this, Kunwar Raj’s film ‘Bute Da Prashad’ also won the best film award at Signet International Film Festival and he received accolades from the audience. Principal, Dr. Sucharita Sharma applauded the the efforts of Kunwar Raj Singh and motivated him to work with the same zeal and persistence in the future also. She also appreciated the efforts of Multimedia department for mentoring students and sensitizing them through various documentaries and short films.
