Jalandhar 28 April (Jaswinder Azad)- Joy spilled in the campus of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar as is Alumni Bannet Dosanjh who has added a feather in the cap of the College by winning the Title of India’s First Rising Star telecasted on colours T.V.  Principal Dr. Sucharita heartily welcomed him to the College and said it is a matter of immense proud that Bannet has touched the pinnacles of glory by winning the hearts of India with his melodious voice. She added it was an unforgettable moment for the College when Bannet was announced the winners. 
Bannet has pocketed a prize of Rs. 20 Lakhs along with a chance of playback singing in the movie of Mahesh Bhatt. Bannet Dosanjh joined Apeejay College for M.A. in Music Vocal during session 2013-15. He is a perfect blend of a humble human and a great singer. Bannet gave full credit to the college teachers and his mates to enhance his singing skills along with his personality. He wholeheartedly expressed in gratitude to the college principal, staff members and his classmates for paving the way to his success.
