Jalandhar 28 July (Jaswinder Azad)- Lyallpur Khalsa College celebrated Teej festival to inculcate cultural fervour among students. Social Sensitization club organised cultural events so that students should come forward and show case their talents. Around 50 students participated with great enthusiasm in Mehndi competition, Jhulla Decoration and Jewellery Designing. Prof. Jaswinder Kaur, Dr. Jaswant Kaur and Prof. Sandeep Bassi adjudged the competitions. Principal Dr. Gurpinder Singh samra spoke on the occasion and encourage the students to carry on with our rich cultural heritage. Members of the club, Prof. Amita Shahid (Convener), Dr. Patwant Atwal, Dr. Manmeet Sodhi, Dr. Geetanjali Moudgil and Prof. Ubique were present on the occasion. In Mehndi competition, Arwinder Kaur, Jaspreet Kaur, Kritika Jain, Amanpreet Kaur and Parneet Kaur bagged prizes. In Jewellery making competition Navneet Kaur, Yashika Jain, Manpreet Kaur and Pratibha Thakur bagged prizes. In Jhulla Decoration, the teams of Priya Raj and Satbir, Yashika Jain And Tajinder, Priya Arora, Manjot and Simarjeet bagged prizes.
