Eklavya School, Jalandhar Observed Haemophilia Day

Jalandhar 17 April (Jaswinder Azad)- Eklavya School Jalandhar observed ‘World Haemophilia Day’ on 17th April 2017. World Hemophilia Day is an international observance held annually on April 17 by the World Federation of Haemophilia (WFH). It is an awareness day for hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, which also serves to raise funds and attract volunteers for the WFH. It was started in 1989; April 17 was chosen in honor of Frank Schnabel's birthday.
This day was observed among the students in order to make them aware about the importance of this day. The Senior School Students were awaked about the bleeding disorder. Family Life Education was also conducted specially for girls to understand the reasons behind such diseases. They were shown video where they were advised to take nutritious food for better life.
The Chairman of the School, Mr. J.K. Gupta said that such kinds of days should be observed among the students as helps in enhancing the knowledge of the students. The Director, Ms Seema Handa said that such kind of videos make the student’s practical in their life. The Principal, Ms Dimpal Sharma appreciated the efforts put by the children in observing this day under the guidance of the educators.
