Jalandhar 16 May (Jaswinder Azad)- With an aim to provide food at Rs. 10 to the poor and needy with the efforts of District Administration Sanjhi Rasoi got opened at Civil Hospital Jalandhar. Member Parliament Mr. Chaudhary Santokh Singh inaugurated this community kitchen. MLA Rajinder Beri and Chaudhary Surinder Singh were also along with MP.
While talking to media Chaudhary Santokh Singh said that the sole aim of the Congress led state government was upliftment of the weaker sections and pursuing this Sanjhi Rasoi got start with efforts of the District Administration. ``In order to benefit more and more poor and needy people Sanjhi Rasoi will be opened at all the district headquarters in Punjab. The food will be provided free of cost to the pregnant women`` added Mr. Chaudhary.
Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma revealed that Sanjhi Rasoi was opened at Civil Hospital so that the patients and their family members could get nutrient diet at Rs. 10. Initially lunch would be provided at Sanjhi Rasoi and we are planning to start Dinner also in coming months observing the response. He said that the expenses would be beared by District Administration, Red Cross and An-jal Society to run this community kitchen.
On the occasion Member Parliament honoured people including Sukhjit Singh Cheema, Ranbir Singh Tut, Ashwani Khosla, Ram Singh Saluja, Anil Chopra and B.S.Johal for their financial contribution forSanjhi Rasoi. ADC (D) Girish Diyalan, ADC (G) Gurmeet Singh, SDM Rajiv Verma, AC (G) Dr. Ankur Mahindru, Civil Surgeon Dr. Maninder Kaur Minhas, Secretary Red Cross Amarjit Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
