Jalandhar 26 May (Jaswinder Azad)- On 25 th May 2017 (Thursday) Eklavya School, Jalandhar observed the Greek Pride Day. It is an initiative to promote the Greek culture. The initiative originated in Spain in 2006. On Greek Pride Day, which is a worldwide celebration of nerdom, there may be meet-ups or parties to celebrate anything and everything worth geeking out over. Different activities like role-playing games and parade was done by the children.
Various activities were done in the school and the children were made familiar with the culture of Greek. The speech was given by the educator in the assembly. The teacher explained the children cultures of various countries. The children also discussed about Indian culture. The tiny tots spent some time together doing craft work and some exercises.
The Chairman of the School, Mr. J.K. Gupta said that such kinds of days are very informative for the children as they get to know about the life lived by our neighbouring countries. The Director, Mrs Seema Handa and the Principal, Mrs. Dimpal Sharma appreciated the children’s love and care for each other.
