Jalandhar 2 May (Jaswinder Azad)- Students of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar who excelled in BA First Semester University Exam in 2016-17 were awarded scholarship in a special function organized in the College today. Awarding the Scholarship worth Rs.3100/- to Samuel, Rs.2100/- to Jagdeep Singh, and Rs.1100/- to Navtej Singh to the first and second position holders in the college, Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra, the Principal of the College informed that the scholarship was sponsored by Prof Sarita Tewari former faculty member of the college and was specially meant for the meritorious BA Ist and IInd semester students of the College. He said that Prof. Sarita Tewari and her husband, late Dr. V.K. Tewari former Principal DAV College Jalandhar always remained committed to the cause of students, and added that the College was thankful to the Tewari family for its contribution to the field of education. The occasion was marked by the presence of senior members of the faculty.
