Jalandhar 22 July (Gurkirat Singh)- Monika, a student of Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar, who secured 1st position in IVth semester in University exams of MA-Geography by getting 1357 marks out of 1600. Sanya Mehta bagged 2nd position by getting 1308 marks out of 1600 in the same exams, whereas Divya Tiwari, Loveleen Kaur, Reema Chopra, Ritu Parna Singha and Bhawna of the same class bagged Distinction by getting 1289, 1281, 1263, 1212 and 1202 marks respectively. In a press release, the Principal of the College Dr. Gurpinder Singh. Samra gave this information adding that Lyallpur Khalsa College is the only college in Doaba region to offer MA Geography and is the first choice of the students because of its excellent teaching and impressive results in university exams. The President of the College Governing Council Sardarni Balbir Kaur congratulated the students and wished them success in life. Prof. Jasbir Singh Rana, and Dr. Lakhvinder Singh were also present in this occasion.
