Tiny Tots of Innokids Innocent Hearts celebrate “Rasila Mango Day”

Jalandhar 19 July (Gurkirat Singh)- The pre-primary wing of Innokids (G.M.T., Loharan and C.J.R.) celebrated “Rasila Mango Day” with great gusto. A number of activities were conducted during the program. The little ones made mango trees and hung mangoes made from paper. Small birds made from paper were then put on the tree. The nursery kids made mango shapes with paper and pasted them on chart papers. A mango café activity was conducted for students of KG I and KG II. The students were informed about the many varieties of mangoes and the dishes, salads and desserts that can be prepared from mangoes-juice, aamchoor, mango shake maaza being some of them. They were also told about ice-creams and sweets using mangoes. They even constructed a small shop by the name of “Mango Wood” where they learnt the uses of the wood obtained from mango trees. A temple was also constructed with a ‘kalash’ having mango leaves. Students were instructed on the use of mango leaves during pooja ceremonies. The importance of trees was stressed explaining that they give shelter to the birds who make nests and live there so the trees should not be cut down. The teachers arranged the exhibits very attractively with the involvement of the students. Innokids Incharge Ms. Gurmeet Kaur (G.M.T.), Alka Arora (Loharan) and Neetika Kapoor(C.J.R.) stressed to the children that fruits must be included in their daily diet as they are essential for health. Fruits are full of nutrients so they must be ingested in some form or the other.
