Jalandhar 9 September (Jaswinder Azad)- To sensitize students about dietary habits and its impact on health, Department of Home Science of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar organized Diet Clinic (Diet and Nutritional Counseling). In this workshop, through anthropometric measurements prevalence of abdominal obesity and ideal body weight were assessed and evaluated; and students were categorized into underweight, overweight and normal categories. With this motive, a personalized diet and nutrition counseling session was initiated by Ms. Monika Anand and Ms. Aatma Singh from the Department of Home Sceince. Principal Dr. Sucharita appreciated the distinguished efforts of the department for spreading a word of awareness amongst youngsters who easily get attracted towards junk food and spoil their health. More than 120 students and 30 teachers were counsel.
