Jalandhar 2 September (Jaswinder Azad)- Ad Making competition was organized by Journalism and Mass Communication Department of DAV College, Jalandhar on Saturday. All the students of Journalism and Mass Communication Department participated in this competition. In the competition, all the students were divided into 6 groups. During this time, students of all groups were given different subjects to make ad. During this time, all the students of the department were taught the tricks to make a radio ad. Students, while demonstrating their creativity, made limited-time radio ads.
During this time, the students were given information about radio ads and other technical aspects of radio. Giving more information about the radio to the students, the teachers told that in today's times radio has the same importance as TV. During this time the students were asked to make an ad on three topics: Social, Immigration and Service. Students created the radio advertisement for the immigration company, Beti Bachao Beti padhao, Biscuits, Jago graahak Jaago and other social issues.
Along with this, the groups of students whose radio advertisement was good, were given the chance to record their advertisements and move forward. In this competition, the group of Priyanka, Gurkirat, Himalaya and vinamar created 'Jago Grahak Jago', an advertisement for which they ranked first in the competition. Along with this Tanu, Monika, Akhil, Kritika Surabhi, Aditya secured second place for the advertisement of 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao'. The third group got a consolation for the biscuit's ad. Meanwhile, the Head of the Department Dr. Minakshi Mohan congratulated the students who won and appreciated their work. The principal of the college, who came to this special occasion, praised this creative work style of the students. Inspiring students, he said that the Journalism and Mass Communication Department, continues to do such competitions, due to which there is more transparency and creativity in the working style of the students. On this occasion, he also praised the department's head Dr. Meenakshi Mohan for this work. Simultaneously, he made children aware about ad making and motivated them to move forward.
Meanwhile, the head of the Department Dr. Minakshi Mohan congratulated the students who won and appreciated their work. She listened to the advertisements of all the groups and informed the students about their shortcomings. Along with this, she made the students aware of the technical aspects of radio advertising. On this occasion, other teachers of the department, Prof. Jyoti Vardhan Mahajan, Prof. Payal Sharma, Prof. Yaduvir Gautam, Prof. Ram Kumar Dhar and Prof. Radhika Sharma was present.
