Jalandhar 29 October (Jaswinder Azad)- Bright students of Apeejay College of Fine Arts with their mesmerizing exhibition of talent left an overpowering impression by winning laurels in Zonal youth festival for eighteenth time in a row. It is a matter of great pride for all Apeejayites who had put their dedicated efforts in all the items and won the hearts of the audience and judges to grab this glorious achievement. Students excelled in various items like Classical Dance, Western Group Song, Giddha, Western Solo Vocal and Elocution on the concluding day. The festival commenced on 26 October and students participated in various categories of Group Shabad, Group Song, Kawishri, Painting on the Spot, Collage, Modeling, Mime, Skit, One Act Play, Folk Orchestra, Classical Instrumental, Percussion, etc and won prizes. Principal Dr. Sucharita Sharma congratulated the students and praised them for their unflinching efforts. She motivated the students to work hard tirelessly and wished them luck for Inter Zonal Youth Festival. She praised Dean youth festival and Head Music Vocal Dr. Amita Mishra for this achievement and appreciated the hard work put in by the teacher incharges of all items.
Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar bagged 1st position in Zonal Youth Festival of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar held at Amritsar w.e.f. 26.10.17 till 29.10.17 by getting 180 marks out of 200. It achaieved 1st position with a difference of 78 marks from the runner up. In all Apeejay has- 1st position in 26 items, 2nd position in 7 items and 3rd position in 2 items.
