Jalandhar 17 October (Jaswinder Azad)- Environment Club of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized an Awareness Rally in and around the premises of HMV. On this occasion, staff members appealed to the students to celebrate Diwali as a festival of light & joy. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of Environment Club and encourage the students to plant more and more trees on Diwali. Mrs. Jyoti Kaul, Incharge of Environment Club also urged the students to minimize the use of crackers and pollutions causing devices. Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Co-Incharge of Club also said that diceases like Asthma, Allergy and choking also are caused by pollution and smoked caused due to bursting of crackers. Dr. Shaweta Chouhan from Environment Club said that celebration of festivals should not damage the environment. Students enthusiastically participated in the rally. Navdeep, Prabhsimran and Kirti led the rally of the students. The students assured that this Diwali will be celebrated as “ECO-FRIENDLY DIWALI” and also HEALTHY DIWALI in keeping with the spirit and message of Healthy Diwali as suggested by the Prime Minister of India. Teaching and Non-Teaching staff of HMV was also present.
