Jalandhar 6 October (Gurkirat Singh)- Dr. Gurpinder Singh Samra, Principal, Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar and President, GNDU Affiliated Colleges Principal Association informed about the discussion regarding the release of the Post matric Scholarship funds for SC students in the recently held meeting of GNDU Affiliated Colleges Principal Association. Dr. GS Samra also informed that scholarships amounts have dipped considerably in last few years with a fall from the 75 % release to a point to no release during the previous session. The Principal Association has expressed concerns that such a scenario will lead to the colleges having to take full charges from students with no other alternative and this would be an awkward situation for everyone concerned. College Principals Association has urged the Government of Punjab to release these amounts at the earliest so that the higher education set up of the region can be put on the right track. Guru Angad Dev College Khador Sahib, Dr. Jaspal Singh Principal Guru Nanak National College, Nakodar, Dr. Kulwant Singh Randhawa Principal Sikh National College Banga, Dr. Navjot Kaur, Principal Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women, Jalandhar, Dr. Anu Vatts Principal DAV College Nakodar, Dr. Gurdev Singh Randhawa, GN College Sukhchaina Sahib, Phagwara, Dr. Jograj Singh Principal SPSK Khalsa College Begowal and other Principals of different colleges.
