Jalandhar 11 October (Jaswinder Azad)- The Industry week for MBA department of DAV Institute of Engg. & Technology, Jalandhar inaugurated on October 9, 2017. Sh. Shikhar Sahni, Vice President, Grey B was the Chief Guest on inauguration. He discussed his experiences with the audience. Dr. Manoj Kumar, Principal, DAVIET welcomed the Chief Guest on his arrival at the Institute. He motivated the students to get benefit of this one week industry-institute interaction programmes. Dr. Sonia Chawla, HOD, MBA, threw light on the whole week interaction programmes, panel discussions, expert lectures and workshops that have been scheduled for the MBA students. Sh. Shikhar Sahni declared the industry week open.
On the first day of the industry week, a workshop was conducted by IMS. Students got maximum benefit of this workshop. On the second day, a panel discussion on Goods and Service Tax (GST) was organized. Mr. Ashutosh Wadhwa, CEO, Rajhans, Mr. Opinder Singh, Deputy Director, Engineer Export Promotion Council, Mr. Ravi Kumar, Government Senior Lawyer, GST and Mr. Ashwani Gupta, Chartered Accountant were the panelists. They enlightened the students with different aspects of GST. They threw light on concept, application and implementation of GST. The students clarified their queries during this interactive session.
A motivational speech on ‘Campus to Corporate’ by Mr. Saurav Nanda was also organized on this day. He focused on different ways to grab opportunities and extract hidden talent. The students got benefitted with the interactive and motivational sessions of the second day.
