Jalandhar 7 October (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya-the Heritage Institution, Jalandhar is striving tirelessly to maintain its standards of excellence by fostering an environment of endless opportunities for providing practical knowledge to the students. Keeping with this trend P.G. Department of Commerce & Business Administration organized an enthusiastic event Commerce Mela So as to develop entrepreneurial and managerial skills among the students. The mela was inaugurated by the college Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi. The whole of the initiative was taken up by the students from planning of the event till the final sale of items in various stalls like games, etables, art and craft, mehndi, nail art, tattoo, jewellary and clothes. The students displayed their creativity and talent with full zeal and enthusiasm. It was a good initiative of the part of PG Dept of Commerce & Business Administration to commemorate the festive season.The theme of the mela was to celebrate Karwa Chauth and Diwali. The basic aim to organise this mela was to donate the proceeds to the underprivileged section of society so that they may celebrate their festivals with joy and happiness. Madam Principal applauded the initivate taken by Dr. Neeraj Maini Head, P.G. Department of Commerce & Business and Administration and other faculty members. She highly appreciated the innovative and creative efforts of the students.
