Jalandhar 7 October (Jaswinder Azad)- Abhinav Thakur, a student from Innocent Hearts Green Model Town, won a gold medal in the U-15 doubles and silver medal in the singles U15 category bringing glory to his alma mater. This competition “Punjab State Sub Junior Ranking” was held in Ropar. The Deputy Commissioner, Ropar was the chief guest and awarded the prizes to the winners. Abhinav is a player of national level. He won a bronze medal in the All India Sub Junior Ranking Badminton Competition earlier too. He is presently holding the 30th rank in the country due to his excellent performance. He has earlier won a gold medal in the U-13 Single Badminton Championship as well as the doubles game. Director Principal, Mr. Dheeraj Banati congratulated Abhinav and his parents on his excellent performance. Abhinav Thakur is an excellent student in academics also. He has won many prizes elevating the name of the school. The management congratulated Abhinav on his stellar achievement and wished him every success in future endeavours.
