Jandiala Guru 5 November (Kawaljit Singh)- Amritsar College of Engineering & Technology successfully organized its 12th Inter School Technical & Cultural Fair – The Fusion for 2 days for the students of schools from in and around the city of Amritsar. About 4285 students participated from 53 different Schools for Two Days. The Fair commenced with Registration of the participants and the students enthusiastically took part in the following events: Essay Writing/Working Model Presentation/Group discussion/Debate/Extempore/ Sudoku/Poster Making/Collage Making/Junkyard/Solo Dance/Solo Song/Group Dance/Bhangra/Gidha/Laughter Challenge. The event took place at the College Auditorium that was tastefully decorated for the Fair. Students seemed quite eager to participate and they had come well prepared. Everyone got his/her share of fair chance to showcase his talent. Dr. Shashi Kanta (Senior vice chairperson Punjab School Education Board, Mohali)attended the event as aChief Guest.While addressing the gathering, Dr. Shashi Kanta said that Technology evolves the cultural & cultural nurtures the technology. Both are important for young generation.Varinder Gupta (Chairman & Founder, Dashmesh Academy) was present as Guest of Honour. On the 2nd day Dr. S. N. Joshi (Director, Ram Ashram Sr. Sec. School) attended the event as a Chief Guest. Sr. Adv. Amit Sharma, Chairman & CEO,addressed the students and said that he was very pleased to see the Fusion of Science, Art & Culture among the students from various schools. He added that such events help in bringing out the best in the students and encourage them to gain confidence while learning new things from each other. Madam Ragini Sharma (Director Finance, ACET) & Dr. Rajneesh Arora (Managing Director, ACET)gave prizes to the winning students towards the end of the day. Spring Dale Senior School, Amritsar & Woodstock Public School, Batalawon the overall trophy.
