Erudite Academicians Enlighten Budding Scientists during 2nd day of Inspire camp at KMV

Jalandhar 31 January (Jaswinder Azad)- On the second day of the 8th 5-day INSPIRE-Camp at KanyaMahaVidyalaya-The Heritage and Autonomous Institution, Jalandhar,Dr.Arvind Kumar Gupta (Department of Mathematics IIT Ropar). He delivered a discourse on  'Ramanujan number Theory'.. He enlightened the students with the life history of the great Indian self taught Mathematician Srinivasan Ramanujan and his great work in number theory. He told that how he became famous by solving cubic and Quadratic equations. Ramanujan was the first Indian to be elected as a fellow of Cambridge University. Then he paid emphasis on disaster caused by numerical errors and he gave its real life applications. He concluded his lecture by elaborating the concept of Modeling with cellular automata.     Prof Karmeshu (School of Computer and System Science, JNU New Delhi)  delivered a valuable talk on Probability computing and Monte Carlo Methods. He started with the need of probability to handle uncertain life situations. He gave wonderful formula to calculate 1 year in seconds. He elaborated the concept of probability with the law of large numbers and axiomatic approach of probability.
The last session was started with the lecture of Dr. Sanjeev Kumar (School of Mathematics Thapar University Patiala). He started his lecture with the sutras and subsutras of vedic Mathematices.
