Jalandhar 21 February (Gurkirat Singh)- To exhibit the talent of young artists, Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar is organizing its 6th Design Week from 23rd February to 28th February 2018. It is the most awaited and vibrant event of Apeejay which is based on the theme of Design Industry Interface. In this enterprise, students would learn the production techniques and innovative methods to shape their imagination into artistic products. Near about 260 students from the Departments of Design, Applied Art, Multimedia and Fine arts would exhibit their works made with their untiring efforts. Works of students also open the possibilities of erasing some social issues and would work in the direction of reducing crime rate or increasing social security. Numerous items like Tapestries, Thread Murals, Black Printing Suits, Shawls, Screen Printed Suits, Embroidered Suits, Kids items, Hand Printed Cushion Covers, Bed sheets etc. would be displayed. To encourage the students, Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandu, Vice Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar would grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Mr. Sarabjot Singh Behl, Dean, Student Welfare, GNDU would enlighten the students as the Resource Person along with the International dignitaries like MR. RENÉ PIJNENBURG, MS. FLEUR SWILDENS and MR. GÉ SMIT Sr Art Director / Designer / Creative Thinker / Educationist would acquaint the students about innovative techniques involved in Modern and Contemporary Arts.
