INTER HOUSE GROUP FOLK DANCE COMPETITION AT DIPS-SURANUSSI

Jalandhar 20 July (Jaswinder Azad)- A rich tribute to Indian folk & culture was given by the students of DIPS-Suranussi in INTER  HOUSE GROUP FOLK DANCE COMPETITION where different folk dances were presented by the students under one roof.  Students from four different houses   -  diamond, pearl, sapphire & ivory  participated with full zeal & enthusiasm. South Indian  dance , Manipuri dance,rajasthani, Punjabi bhangra, Indian classical etc. were showcased in this competition. The participants were judged on the basis of costume & makeup, coordination, expression and overall presentation. The competition was held under two groups  -  group-a (classes I to V), group – b (classes vi to x). diamond house won the first position while sapphire & ivory house were the runners up in group-a. in group-b ivory house stood first while the diamond house was the runners up. Harkamal, diya, khushboo, gungun, navneet,jasmine, gitansh, sristhi,nitin were adjudged as the best performers.  On this occasion mrs. preetinder kaur, vice-chairperson chain of dips institutions applauded & congratulated the winners for the remarkable performance & wished them many more such laurels in future too. The school principal mrs.bela kapoor congratulated the winners and  awarded  them with prizes & certificates.
