Jalandhar 18 March (Jaswinder Azad)- Department of Chemistry , Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar organized "Career Counselling in Chemistry" under DBT Star College Scheme by Dr. Subodh Kumar, Professor, Department of Chemistry, GNDU Amritsar for undergraduate students. He enlightened the students about the real challenges of chemistry with respect to job opportunity with chemistry as one of the subjects graduate and master level. He encouraged the students to aspire high for higher gains adding that sky is the limit. Dr. Subodh made students aware about the core areas of job avenues in Chemistry including teaching, research, industry and global opportunity. The lecture was well received by the students and students actively interacted with the resource person. Principal Dr. Atima Sharma thanked the resource person Dr. Subodh Kumar and also appreciated the endeavour of the Department of Chemistry adding that it should be a regular feature in the curriculum as it clears the dilemma of students of choosing of the right subject Postgraduate level.
