Jalandhar 6 April (Jaswinder Azad)- Golden Nights " Srijan 2018" was organized by DAV Girls' Hostels. The chief guest of the event was Mr. Sanjay Gupta, former Member of the Local Advisory Committee of DAV College, and Guest of Honor was Mrs. Vandana Arora and Mrs Ritu Gupta who were welcomed by the Principal of the College Dr. S.K. Arora , Hostel's Chief warden Prof. Hemant Kumar and hostel warden Romila Verma. The ceremony was started with lamp lightening and Ganesh Vandana which was presented by the boarders themselves.
Principal Dr. SK Arora welcomed all dignitaries and guests with their welcome address.He said, "You do not represent hostel but you represent DAV College, Jalandhar, education of girls and their safety is our priority and our goal is to make a golden future and the college does best work in this direction. He has inspired girls to do better in the future and thanked all the guests for their presence inspite of busy schedule.
During this time, he awarded 105 outgoing students and 138 Golden Night contestants to the hostel.
Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Chief Guest, interacting with the girls said that no matter what career you choose, but always be ready to give your best in every field and it is not necessary to find your career through bookish know also only when can also pursue his/her future in art. Keep your focus on your goals success will chase your steps.
During this program, very warm and beautiful performances were given by the hostel girls. Presentation was a mixture of completely Indian culture and tradition. Ghoomer dance was performed by the Bhawna, Kajal, Divya, Kavita, Rabia, Upinder, Kaushiki. Dogri folk dance was done by Antariksha, Mannat, Damini, Diksha, Anjali, Priya and Shifali and a Luka Chhupi act was performed by Kumud, Nikita, Malvika, Tajinder, Charneet, Mahima.
Chief warden Hemant Kumar said that this program was organized by the warden Mrs. Romila, Mrs. Renu and the hostel staff, I congratulate every person associated with the preparation of the ceremony for their outstanding contribution and congratulations for success. Such displays always touch the heart and the golden feathers are added to the success cap.
At the end of the program, the hostel's Chief warden Prof. Hemant Kumar thanked everyone. In addition to the revered guests, Vice Principal VK Sareen, Prof. Hemant Kumar, Prof Kamaldeep, Prof. Satish Sharma, Dr. Komal Arora, Smt. Renuka, Dr. Rajiv Sharma were also present.
