Mr. Milind Damle from FTII, Pune interacts with JMC Students
Jalandhar 6 April (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya- the Autonomous and Heritage Institution, Jalandhar's Department of Journalism and Mass Communication organized a four-day workshop on “Film Production”. Mr. Miland Damle, Assistant Professor Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune was the resource person for the workshop. The Principalof the college Prof.Atima Sharma Dwivedi accorded a floral felicitation to the guest speaker. She also encouraged students to actively participate in the workshop to learn the new techniques of film production from a learned personality of the stature and caliber of Mr. Milind Damle. Students of BAJMC, B.Voc (Photography and Journalism) and B.A. (JMC as subject) participated in this workshop with full zeal. Addressing the students on the first day of workshop, Mr. Milind Damle threw light on the various phases of film production in detail. He also discussed varios job opportunities in the field of film production for ladies and girls. During the interactive session he answered many important queries of students. The roles and responsibilities of a director, a producer and other crew members of the film production were also described by the resource person with the help of some interesting clippings from the movies of various genres on the second day of the workshop. During the third day of the workshop students acquired an in-depth knowledge about various challenges faced by every film maker during the shoot Mr. Damle also explained the significance of appropriate location and set designing for film production. On the last day of workshop, Mr. Damle while explaining various phases of editing, showcased the movies which are collaboratively preserved by National Film Archive of India(NFAI) and Film and Television Institute of India (FTII). He also elaborated the structure and courses offered by FTII. Dr.Gopi Sharma, Director Kaushal Kendra, KMV thanked Mr. Milind for imparting practical knowledge to the students Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication for having conducted such a fruitful workshop. She also stated that such workshops would definitely prove helpful for students in generating more creative ideas and having more creative productions.
