Jalandhar 18 May (Jaswinder Azad)- Dr Surinder Pal Mand has been given the charge of Coordinator of Punjab Centre for Migration Studies of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar. Apart from dealing with the problems of Punjabi migrants abroad, the Centre promotes and conducts research related to themes important to Punjabi Migration literature. Speaking on the occasion College Principal Dr Gurpinder Samra said that as a huge number of Punjabis are settled abroad the centre has a very important role to play. He congratulated Dr. Surinder Pal Mand and urged him to make the Centre relevant in the present times by organising various kinds of activities. The other members present during the occasion were Prof. Gopal Singh Buttar, Prof. Manohar Singh and Prof Baldev Singh.
