HMV joins hands with Distt. Administration for addressing the gaps in primary education in government schools

Jalandhar 17 May (Jaswinder Azad)- Under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen, Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya has joined hands with district administration in a unique endeavour to improve the quality of education in government schools of Jalandhar.  Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen said that HMV is always ready for the cause of improving the status of education in India.  HMV has always taken path breaking steps to outreach to the underprivileged section of the society.  Sh. Paramveer Singh, IAS, SDM II addressed the NSS volunteers of HMV and apprised them with the initiative of district administration.  Speaking on the occasion, he said that the rural and economically backward areas need to be helped to get better education.  For this he seeks the support of students of HMV who would voluntarily take up teaching in rural government schools to bridge the learning gaps.  The students were very enthusiastic about the project.  One of the students said that this way, their education will be put to best possible use.
Mr. Surjit Lal from Distt. Guidance Bureau also motivated the students to become useful citizens of the country.  School Coordinator Mrs. Meenakshi Syal also encouraged the students to lend a hand to the needy children.  NSS Programme Officer Dr. Anjana Bhatia said that even with high enrollment rate of school children, the learning level of children is actually declining.  This association of HMV and district administration will positively impact the learning outcome of children.  Ms. Harmanu and Mrs. Alka were also present there.
