Jalandhar 8 April (Jaswinder Azad)- Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya organized Alumnae Meet ‘Punarmilan 2017’ in its campus. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen welcomed President HMV Alumnae Association Dr. Rashmi Khurana, Asstt. Secretary Mrs. Binoo Gupta, Treasurer and Mrs. Deepshikha. Executive Members Mrs. Ravinder Bedi, Mrs. Sarvinder Kaur and Ms. Ramanpreet Kaur were welcomed by President HMV Alumnae Association. The ceremony started with lighting of the lamp. Principal Prof. Dr. Ajay Sareen said that HMV Alumnae Association has become the first association to be registered as HMV Alumnae Welfare Association (Regd.). She said that coming back to alma mater is like Home Coming. The alumnae meet is an initiative to continue the tradition of Teacher-Student Relation. She prayed to Almighty for more love, affection and stronger relations in future. She announced that every second Saturday of April will be celebrated as Alumnae Day. President of Association Dr. Rashmi Khurana, Retd. PEX All India Radio said that we are recognized with the name of this great institution. She prayed for brighter future of the college. She said that HMV has given us so much that we will always remain indebted to it. Executive Member of HMV Alumnae Welfare Association and CEO of Ajit Group of Publications Mrs. Sarvinder Kaur shared her memories of student life. Games like Balloon Game, Antakshri and Lucky Dip were played and the winners were awarded with prizes. Mrs. Veena Kalia Joshi, Public Relation Officer in Marx & Spencer, England also shared her memories related to the college. She said that this institute has groomed me in discipline and career building. This institute has developed so much over the years and is contributing so much in empowerment of women. Dr. Kulwinderdip Kaur, Retd. HOD Music also shared her memories. Ms. Navjot Kaur, RJ in FM Rainbow and faculty in MGN School presented Histrionics and mesmerized the audience. On this occasion, after modelling, titles were given to the participants. Sarpreet was given the title of HMV Punjaban, Jaspreet got the title of HMV Elegant, Mrs. Veena Kalia Joshi and Miss Richa Sodhi jointly got the title of HMV Stylish. Mrs. Moni Sharma were titled as Gorgeous HMV Alumnae, Mrs. Asha Mittal bagged the title of Graceful HMV Alumnae and Mrs. Ravinder Bedi as Charming HMV Alumnae. Retd. ADC Excise and Taxation Mrs. Sarojini Gautam Sharda, Mrs. Sanjieda Beri, Dy. Director Employment Generation and Training, Mrs. Sindhu Rana, Former Announcer Doordarshan and All India Radio, Ms. Divya, Manager YES Bank, Ms. Richa Sodhi, Manager NESTLE, Ms. Ekta, Film Director were few among those who were present. The judges of modelling were Dr. Kulwinderdip Kaur, Programming Head Radio City Mrs. Seema Soni and Miss Shallu Batra. Asstt. Secretary of HMV Alumnae Association Mrs. Binoo Gupta gave vote of thanks. Stage was conducted by Dr. Nidhi Kochhar, Mrs. Urvashi Mishra, Mrs. Mukti Arora and Ms. Karishma.
