Jalandhar 11 July (Jaswinder Azad)- The combined Annual Training Camp of 2Pb(G) NCC Jal concluded at Kanya Maha Vidyalaya the Autonomous and Heritage Institution, Jalandhar with cultural fiesta evening and closing address by camp commandant also CO of 2Pb (G) BN NCC Jalandhar Col Jasbir Singh. During the closing address the camp Commandant addressed the whole camp regarding his assessment of the achievement during the training camp and also what remained to be done next. Prizes of various competitions held during the camp were also given away to the cadets. Sujaya from K.M.V. NCC Unit won 1st prize in 200 mt race. Other cadets of K.M.V. who were awarded were Sgt Gurleen Jhamt and Group 2nd prize for group song. Sgt Gursharanjit Kaur 1st prize in Declamation. Cpt. Harman 1st prize in painting. Sgt Amarpreet Kaur and Gurleen Jhamt 1st piloting Cadet Simran and Suman Arora got Special recognition award for helping in camp office administrative work. Overall the camp was a success. It was a great satisfaction that around 400 girl cadets stayed day and night and trained intensively, securely and went home hale and hearty. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi observed that NCC was doing yeomen’s service in empowering the girl to become the empowered women of future India.
