Kanya Maha Vidyalaya begins M.A. Punjabi

Jalandhar 24 July (Jaswinder Azad)- Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, the Heritage and Autonomous Institution,  Jalandhar today welcomed the new entrants to M.A. Punjabi Sem-1st a new course along with the inauguration of new Punjabi Department as a beginning the academic session 2018-19. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi was present to bless the Department on the occasion. Head, Department of Punjabi, Dr. Iqbal Kaur thanked Principal Atima Sharma Dwivedi for facilitating those who wanted to venture into new creative ventures in Punjabi literature and also for encouraging higher studies in Punjabi language and literature. She also thanked her for the new Department of Punjabi at KMV. Addressing the students on the occasion Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi said that in today global world of commercialization and teach savy generation it was imperative to stay connected to literature for a holistic development of the personality. She also gave her best wishes to all one. Students from the department of Punjabi along with the faculty thanked the Principal. Pardeep Kaur and Gurpreet Kaur from M.A. Sem-1st surprised everyone with their melodious folk songs which was expression of their joy. Also present on the occasion were Mrs. Seema Jain, Head, Department of English, Dr. Vinod Kalra, Head, Department of Hindi, Dr, Neeraj Sharma, Head, Department of Sanskrit along with Dean, Languages, Dr. Madhumeet. The program concluded with a thanks by Prof. Dr. Harpreet from the Department of Punjabi.
