Jalandhar 1 September (Jaswinder Azad)- PCM SD College for Women, Jalandhar organized a two day-Talent Hunt with the honorary presence of our Chief Guest, Principal, Dr. Kiran Arora. Mrs. Geeta Kahol, Incharge of the Talent Hunt and the ‘Dean Youth Welfare’ along with Dr. Harkamal Kaur, the Youth Coordinator delivered a warm floral welcome to the Principal, who commenced the event with the lighting of the lamp. Mrs. Geeta Kahol emphasized the relevance of the gala event in honing the skills of the fresher students, by providing them an appropriate platform. Various literary items (Poetical Recitation, Debate and Declamation) and other activities like Quiz, TV Video Production, Rangoli, Phulkari, Fine Arts, Cosmetology (Mehndi and Nail Art) and the Home Sciences ‘cooking without fire were held on the first day. Song / Ghazal, Bhajan Shabad, Folk Song, solo, Duet and Group Dance, Skit, Mimicry, Mime and the Fancy Dress were held on the second day. About 200 students participated in full zest and zeal. The students of the Dance Department wrapped up the event with a spectacular dance performance. The Principal commended the budding talents inside the students and that these extra-curricular activities play a vital role in the holistic nurturing of their personality. The Principal was handed a memento after the conclusion of the show.
