Jalandhar 2 May (Jaswinder Azad)- A week long Faculty Development Programme on “Technological Innovations in Science for Humanity” sponsored by Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, conclude at Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar. On the valedictory event, officiating Principal Mrs. Renuka Bhatti, Head of Physics Deptt., Dean Academics and Co-ordinator of FDP, Mrs. Meenakshi Syal, Convener Dr. Ekta Khosla, Organizing Secretary Dr. Meena Sharma and Head of Chemistry Deptt. Mrs. Jyoti Kaul were present. On this occasion, Offg. Principal Mrs. Renuka Bhatti said that we the teachers should co-relate science with life and the teachers of humanities should co-relate everything with science. In this way, moral values and culture can be maintained. Participants of FDP shared their feedback regarding FDP. Mr. Pardeep Bhandari, Head of Comp.Sc.Deptt. of Doaba College, shared his views. Mrs. Navrooop, Dean Youth Welfare Deptt. of HMV gave special thanks to Dr. Umesh Arya who gave cash prize to the students of Nukkad Natak (written & directed by Dr. Nidhi Kochhar). Dr. Santosh Khanna recited a prayer. Mrs. Veena Arora recited a poem titled “Tarakki”.
Coordinator of FDP Mrs. Syal thanked Principal Prof. Dr. Mrs. Ajay Sareen for her guidance and cooperation. She said that as teachers, we should be innovative in every work we do. Convener Dr. Ekta Khosla & organizing Secretary Dr. Meena Sharma also thanked all the participants. 66 participants were given certificate. Stage was conducted by Dr. Anjana Bhatia.
