Apeejay College of Fine Arts celebrate 70th glorious Independence Day

Jalandhar 16 August (Jaswinder Azad)- Freedom of thoughts marked its presence in the premises of Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar with the celebration of 70th glorious Independence Day of our nation.  Students of diverse departments of the College expressed their compassionate thoughts on the importance of freedom in the form of Patriotic Songs, Poems and Speeches.  The ignited minds Mr. Vishav Bandhu Verma, Assistant Prof. in History and Mr. Birinder Singh Chopra, Assistant Prof. in Multimedia expressed innumerable amount of respect in a documentary to all the martyrs like Mangal Pandey, Bahadur Shah Zaffar, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Lala Lajpat Rai and many others for their unforgettable sacrifices in gifting liberty of individualism to all the coming generations. Along with this, the disappointment with the prevailing corruption, condition of females, drug addiction, terrorism, discrimination on the basis of caste and religion, inflation, drugs etc. were also expressed in a choreography.  College’s alumni Rajat Sharma screened a video awaking everyone about their fundamental rights.
Principal, Dr. Sucharita congratulated everyone on this auspicious occasion and appreciated the efforts of SWA Dean, Dr. Anjana Kumari, Head, Department of Hindi for conducting this event fruitfully. She also said that as an Indian we need to contribute as much as to fulfill the dreams of all the martyrs by eliminating all the evils of society  and making India a better place to live in.
