CT Group of Institutions organized CT Talent Fiesta-16

  • More than 250 students from different institutions of CT Group participated
  • The experts from Punjabi Film Industry were the judges for the day.
Jalandhar 26 August (Jaswinder Azad)- Giving students a platform to exhibit their talent, CT Group of Institutions organized a cultural CT Talent Fiesta-16 in the premises of Sardarni Manjit Kaur Auditorium, Shahpur Campus on Friday. More than 250 students from different institutions of CT Group participated with enthusiasm and zeal. At this cultural fiesta, students performed Punjab’s Cultural Dance form Bhangra, Sikkim’s Bamboo Dance, Bhutan’s Rigsar, Zambia’ s Tonga Bull Dance.
In the fiesta International and National students displayed their cultures and religious beliefs at the various activities including Music, Dance, Fine Arts, Theatre and others. Punjabi Cinema & Theatre Artist Daljinder Basra, Folk Singer & TV Artist Santosh Basra, Artists from Indian Music Industry Vivek Sahni and Yash were the judges from the event. The special visit and performance was given by Famous Punjabi Actress Himashi Khurana at the event.
Earlier, the event was inaugurated by S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions), Mr. Harpreet Singh (Vice Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) and Dr. P.S. Bedi (Campus Director, CT Group of Institutions) by lighting the pious lamp.
Mr. Harpreet Singh (Vice Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) emphasized on the overall development of the students, he highlighted that the CT Group always seeks to strike a balance between academic and co-curricular activities for the students. He also advised the students to lay stress on dedication and discipline and polish their talent. He informed that the fiesta has its prelim round in which more than 700 students registered and performed. Based on their performance 250 students were selected for the finale and the winners were honored at the event.
S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) said that such events boost the confidence of the students and encourage them to come forward. The guidance of the teachers further sharpens their inborn talents. These programmes are organized from time to time in order to unravel the creative talent of the young students.
Special Play on Female Feticide
The students from Punjab displayed the in-depth yet real story of society where people assumes girl child as additional burden on the family. The play was based on situations and circumstances of a family those are not in favour of giving birth to a girl child. They also made their daughter-in-law a victim of domestic violence.
