3 University positions were booked by DAV BAJMC department
Jalandhar 4 August (Jaswinder Azad)- In GNDU fourth semester examinations, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of DAV College stood brilliant and performed exceptionally well . Sahil scored first position in the University and made her college proud . Divya Prabhakar stood 2nd in the city and 4th in University and Gurnoor stood 3rd in district and 6th in University. "Sahil" scored 350/450 and stood 1st in the university. She had earlier stood 7th in the university and then since the starting she remained focused and now stood first . Sahil said that my voice is crystal clear and i have the confidence and communication skills. I want to become a national news reporter cum full time news reader after pursuing my post graduation in journalism. I dedicate the fruit of my success to my teachers, my parents Smt Kamlesh and Shri Sukhdev Singh and specially my aunt Mrs Raj Rani and my uncle Dr Jagtar Singh.
"Divya Prabhakar" stood 2nd in the city and 4thin university by scoring 334/450. She said," I want to pursue my career as an anchor and become an radio jockey, and fo pursuing my dreams my teachers and my family have always supported me. "Gurnoor" stood 3rd in district and 6th in university by scoring 328/450. Pradeep wishes to contribute in the Punjab police and wishes to serve the society for the times to come.
College Principal Dr. B.B Sharma felicitated the students and said, "there are millions opportunities which stand in Journalism. But along with it, the work of a reporter is very challenging as it has been said that pen and media is mightier than sword. Principal Dr. Sharma congratulated all students on their achievement. HOD Meenakshi Mohan also felicitated the students and acknowledged their achievements. During the occassion, Prof. Pretty Dhawan, Prof. Jyoti Vardhan, Prof. Payal Sharma appreciated the students.
